The City of Alexandria Swim Team (COAST) began in 1985. Coach Wally Fall has been a vital part of COAST since its beginning. Coach Fall has been coaching swimmers for almost 40 years. His career has taken him to Arkansas, California, Alabama, and finally settling in Louisiana. He has developed many Junior National qualifiers as well as many high school All-American swimmers. Coach Fall and his assistant coach, Angela Hayes, help COAST swimmers to maintain their motivation by encouraging each to continually improve his/her own technique and performance. Maximum development of one's individual potential is achieved through the channeling of competitive instincts and self-discipline. If anyone is interested in joining COAST, try-outs are held on Mondays at 4pm at the ASH pool. |

The little girls were not satisfied with being pushed in the jogging stroller for races or training runs. They wanted to run like Daddy. |
